We are creating a new Environment and Business (E&B) External Affairs function which will transform the way E&B uses its voice and engages across the Directorate, into the wider organisation, and with external stakeholders, government, partners, and the media.
This will be a high profile team working closely with the leadership of the directorate and wider business. The team will work on high profile topics such as water, regulation, and the wider environment.
There will be clear career opportunities within the team. We are a new team so are looking for individuals to help shape and design it’s future.

Engagement Advisor – strategy
You will be promoting the work of the Environment Agency externally to the public, key stakeholders and government by delivering our engagement strategy. Working internally with senior leaders across a range of high profile environmental disciplines you will ensure that our work is better known, trusted and has greater impact.

Engagement Officer – strategy
You will be promoting the work of the Environment Agency externally to the public, key stakeholders and government by delivering our engagement strategy. You will have the opportunity to work across a number of high profile environmental issues including climate change, water, and waste. The work you deliver will help us ensure that our work is better known, trusted and has greater impact.
Engagement Officer – stakeholder oversight
Working in a complex and fast paced environment, with a range of stakeholders and environmental issues means we need high quality tools, channels, training and evaluation to achieve the biggest impacts through our engagement. You will be responsible developing and maintaining a range of products to achieve that from stakeholder oversight to reputational risk registers.

You will be providing first class customer service to promote the work of the Environment Agency externally to the public, key stakeholders and government. You will enhance our reputation and make sure our work is better known, trusted and has greater impact. You will inspire and engage others, and provide technical leadership to our customer service and engagement professionals.
